Please join us at the public hearing on
January 30, 2019.
We need all vapors and shop owners to
attend the hearings that surround Suffolk County. Many of you may be thinking this
does not affect because you do not live in NYC or you do not use flavors- This absolutely
affects your ability to get these products. If flavors are banned- stores will be
forced to close. Suffolk County will be
heavily influenced by their decision.
If you are unable to attend, please
call the committee members and oppose T2019-3592, which would ban the sale of
flavored E-cigarette/vaping products in New York City.
Explain to them that you used an
e-cigarette to quit smoking. Tell them:
Thank you to everyone who showed up to yesterdays meeting and to all the customers who sent emails and made multiple phone calls. With your help the Suffolk County flavor ban has been tabled til January. This is not a win for us. It is a time to reach out to all 18 Suffolk County Legislators who will have the final vote. This is our last chance to SAVE FLAVORS.

All customers- this is your chance to be heard. - Send emails - Call your district rep for home (locate rep below) - Call your district rep for your local vape store - Write a testimony
We will be completing a customer survey in-store and accepting testimony from customers. This information will be used as evidence that adult vapers prefer flavors other than tobacco, menthol & mint.
The next meeting we need all customers to appear along side their local vape stores. We need to work together to save your right to have these products and to help save the 50+ Vape Stores that will close if this goes into effect.
The Suffolk County Legislature is moving rapidly to adopt an all-out ban on flavored vapor products. A hearing is scheduled for:
Thursday, December 13, 2018
Rose Y. Caracappa Auditorium, William H. Rogers Legislature Building
725 Veterans Memorial Highway
The proposed law (Resolution No. 2128) would ban the sale of nicotine-containing e-liquid in all flavors except tobacco, mint, and menthol. There are no exceptions for specific retailers.
Please make plans to attend this hearing! Even if you do not plan to speak, your presence is important as it demonstrates the large numbers of people affected by this issue. If you do plan to speak, plan to keep your remarks to ONE MINUTE or LESS. When commenting on this ordinance, be sure to include your experience with vaping and what role flavors play in keeping you smoke free.
In advance of the hearing, please take this opportunity to send a message to council members urging them to oppose this ordinance.
